Sans Culotte (Josh Fradin)

Our nation slogan should be Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. I only wish the equality part of the slogan would be true. Since I am in the third class the Government does not treat us fairly, but they favor the first two estates. An example of this is how the third estate pays taxes, but the other estates do not.  I agree with the slogan because it gives the third estate hope that their might be equality during the revolution.  A nation without these words will not function properly. There would be lots of crime and nothing would get done without these words. Now, Napoleon is on top and it is starting to look like a monarchy again. You can tell by this new slogan he created for the revolution. Napoleon's new slogan Order, Security, and Efficiency does not give the third estate any hope. It actually scares me because if the third estate is not equal to the others, Napoleon could target us with order and security. Also efficiency has no other meaning to our nation then keep on winning wars against other countries to win land. I do give a little credit to Napoleon for living up to the expectations on the battle field. These words are the definition of monarchy. If the top two estates were smart and weren't thinking of wealth and property all the time, together we could revolt against Napoleon's idea. Napoleon's idea will not bring us freedom, only depression. That's why we should change the slogan back to Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.

I agree, Napoleon's new slogan completely defeats all we have worked for as French citizens. Many of my friends and countrymen have died to see France become a country with a government for and by the people. Napoleon's new slogan, "Order, Security, and Efficiency" will not bring anything but more fighting and rebellion. As a woman of France, I know all the citizens of France are looking for is freedom and equality among all the people in France.
