September Massacre- Clergyman (Amin Rajaee)
There is blood. It's everywhere that I look. It's September 3rd of 1792 and not one person is clean of blood. People are going mad, not knowing what to do with the image of death everywhere. Everyone is being slaughtered, and I don't know why. It is coming to the point that I feel like I'm up next for the pain and misery. The 3rd estate has weapons that no one else has after storming the Bastille. It's an advantage for them, which makes my situation a lot worse. God has brought this to all of us and it is unknown why he has done so. This is not what life should be like around here or anywhere. Although, I am in the 2nd estate, and this is the time for people like me (upperclassmen) to control these insane people in the 3rd estate. There's a chance that I could be killed in this bloody massacre but I'll be fighting to preserve this nation of France as I believe someday everything will be back to what it was like before, with a lot less blood, and a lot more peaceful control. I know that I must be strong and attempt to stay calm but serious with what might happen. With all of this fighting and cruelty, I still praise God and his great strengths. I believe that if someone can bring peacefulness to these bloodthirsty people, it will be him. Hopefully, God can bring morality to these people and bring back the peaceful France that we used to live in. I pray for such great things to happen.

ReplyDeleteWhy are people insane in the third estate? We fight for what we think is right. What we think is right is for the upperclassmen to pay taxes, but that won't happen because you guys think your better than everyone else. What we think is right is that there should be laws that prevent people with extreme wealth and property, but the Government wouldn't do that because they are on your side. And that leads me to the Government should be a republic so all the common people could have a say.

DeleteNow, this is where our viewpoints intersect. I can see that you all in the third estate are fighting for what you, as a whole, think is right. We can fight together in order to get the government to adopt my idea of separation of powers. This is what the government needs, which will prevent many issues like this from occurring. Things will be a lot more organized and fair. This theory of mine will divide the government into three branches (legislature, executive, judiciary) with independent powers and areas of responsibility, in order to have no branches more powerful than the others. This would most definitely work. We can make this happen.

ReplyDeleteI am tired of looking to the church for guidance. The church has sat by and watched as our country fell apart. The days where all the citizens looked to the church for explanations are gone. We now understand how to reason, and how to make decisions with logic. The only way we can gain our freedom is by starting anew.
