Liberty, Equality, Fraternity (A Working Woman)

As Napoleon Bonaparte declared emperor last week, he recently changed our country's most important slogan which was Liberty, Equality, Fraternity into Order, Security, and Efficiency. I am very upset with Napoleon. As Napoleon rose to power, many people including me in the third estate were very pleased. We needed change and for someone to stop all this chaos that has been occurring in the last year or so. The slogan Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity means a lot to me and my fellow third estate partners because that slogan was our only hope to fight for liberty, equality and fraternity. Now with our new garbage slogan that Napoleon has put in, it will push us two steps back from becoming free. All we want is equality. We are starving, getting punished and are working for dirt. With out our old slogan, on top of all this chaos, things will be even worse. This whole rebellion people have been saying and doing for years is all about that slogan and with out it, our country will fall to pieces. Our country will not be able to function with out Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.

Yes, I concur with Napoleon's new slogan we will have to work extra hard and more hours to keep this nation running. The first and second estates only care about wealth, property, and power which they don't think they have enough of. When we are working the hardest we be the ones paying the taxes. Since we will be working so hard because we love our nation we will get not time to have a say. The third estate is very upset with this slogan. It should be switched back immediately.

Even as a huge defender of women's rights, I believe that Napoleon's new slogan of "Order, Security, and Efficiency" will bring a need structure to France. We have been in a constant state of uncertainty ever since the revolution. Napoleon has brought stability to our country and with it a greater opportunity to improve women's rights. Napoleon has also begun to improve infrastructure; building public schools across France. This is also a beginning to gaining the liberty of female education.
