John Locke (E. Kalander) What is this “Order, Security, and Efficiency” term that has
been floating around? Is this really the way to rule a country? Having one
leader control all the rights of all citizens? It is an outrage! “Liberty,
Equality, and Fraternity” is a much better way to live your lives by. After
all, all men are free and equal under God, and they all have natural rights.
There should not be a monarchy, or emperorship to rule all these free citizens!
Live in fraternity, equality, and liberty! Let the people decide their own
fates. Let the people rule their own country. With 97% of the country considered outsiders, no wonder France is involved in such chaos! The country is falling apart at the seams, and the only way to sew it back up is to get everyone involved in a peaceful, and civil way. Storming your way into a country, changing laws, and declaring yourself ruler will not win over the population or save this starving country. Work together! Men have rights. Equal and natural rights! Use them!
Thomas Hobbes (S. Basler)
ReplyDelete"Order, Security, and Efficiency" is the only way to build our country back up. Humans are born corrupt and the only way to fix that is through a monarchy, not through allowing the corrupt citizens to make decisions. Order can not come from allowing everyone to run around declaring their rights. It must come from a strict yet honest ruler, someone just like Napoleon. It is clear that he cares about the good of our country and that he wants to rebuild it. He cares about our safety and about getting things done quickly. He doesn't want to have to wait around for citizens to decide. His way of "Order, Security, and Efficiency" is the best for our country.
Thomas Hobbes (Maria Nunez)
ReplyDeleteOur country needs order, security, and efficiency because people are naturally cruel, greedy, and selfish. I believe that only a powerful government would cause an orderly society. An absolute monarchy can impose order and compel obedience in order to create this orderly society. France needs security from these people who are naturally cruel, greedy, and selfish and who would fight, rob, and oppress each other if they are not strictly controlled. We must feel safe and secure, not the other way around. We must not allow corrupt citizens to make government decisions. France also needs efficiency. Our government must learn to work quickly and efficiently. We must learn to deal with our problems as they come so that we do not fall behind.
Sans culotte (Grace Mahoney)
ReplyDeleteYes, John Locke, I totally agree! How is there room for order, security and efficiency in our country if there isn't room for liberty, equality and fraternity? The third estate was oppressed for years under the ancien regime, and the whole purpose of the revolution was to change that! Our country needs to be ruled by the people, not some foolish monarch or even Napoleon!
