Order, Security and Efficiency

Thomas Hobbes (Lauren Chapski)
Streets crowded with chaos, people being robbed and killed on a regular basis, and the constant reminders of pain leave everyone full of fear and rage. What seems like such a horrible nightmare, will actually be a reality if the government focuses on "Liberty, equality and fraternity"as our primary beliefs.  Instead the french government should prioritize and demonstrate "order, security and efficiency". By nature people are cruel and without a strong central government we wont be able to stay civil. If we had an absolute Monarchy, we could govern the people and maintain the security necessary. It would also be much more efficient because there would be no "if, and's or but's" everything would be much more organized. Also this slogan would provide order because everyone would listen to said ruler. The only logical government slogan would be "order, security and efficiently" without a doubt.

I completely agree with your point of view. Being a working woman, it is important to me and my kind that all humans are treated equal. But our slogan shouldn't have the word equality in it if we don't even have it. I believe order is a better word because order is the way you do something. Order sounds more like something you HAVE to do, and all citizens being equal is something we have to do. Order, security, and efficiency is definitely a better slogan.

Making "Order, Security, and Efficiency" our nation's slogan is an awful idea. It will turn the third estate against the Government and other estates. I am already upset with the Government and other estates. They have no consideration for anybody besides themselves. The third estate workers are going to have to work more hours and harder than ever to keep this nation running, while the other estates sit back and watch. This will also mean we are working that hardest and the only ones paying taxes for our nation. While we work the hardest the third estate will have no say on anything that is going on. The other estates care way to much about power, wealth, and property and not that much about how our nation's economy is. If our nation switches to "Order, Security, and Efficiency" it will go on a major downfall. There will be chaos. Everyone in the third estate is with me on this. The proper slogan is the original slogan which is "Liberty,Equality, and Fraternity. So everyone has there equal share and say.

  3. Jacobin (K. Lavan) I respect your point of view but changing our slogan to "Order, Security, Efficiency" would be the wrong thing to do for our country. The government cannot be efficient if the majority of its people disagree with what they are doing. Our country cannot be safe and orderly if people of different estates aren't equal. If our country used the slogan "Order, Security, Efficiency" the country would go into greater chaos than what is already happening. The slogan "Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity" is the better slogan for our country because it units the people by making them equal.

  4. John Locke (Anna Buckley) There is not "logic" behind order, security, and efficiency because it gives no opportunity for the people of the country. All that it merely does is brainwash the people of the country and not allow them to think freely. If we instead stand by liberty, equality, and fraternity, we can better the country, and the people living in it. We need to allow the people to be enlightened, and equal, so that they can realize that it is up to then what they want to think or do, so that they can do it to better the country.
