September Massacre- Clergyman (I. Iannotti)

The yelling! The screaming! The horror! Oh, I will never shake the bloody visions from my mind for as long as I shall live, which may not be much longer if things continue this way. The killing and violence must cease immediately, for I can only hide for so long. I just do not understand why those people of the third estate insist on using violence in this way. Why can't they just carry on with their mediocre lives, for God's sake, they've been doing it for so long! Every where I look, everything I see is dyed a glistening red, shining as if this bloodshed were for the better. I know that I was born in this upperclass for a reason, myself and others like me can rule these people better than anyone else in the world. I do believe that these rebels have gone mad. The only thing that can save them and myself is God. Us, higher up in the ancien regime can only take this madness for so long, we must either remove ourselves if there is no hope left of this country, or fight to preserve the nation that God intended for us to rule.

  1. Working Woman (K. Gammino) May God bless your soul! I agree, the fighting must stop immediately! The children shouldn't be afraid to leave our homes, and the rest of the women should not have to hide them from such monstrosities! Oh Clergyman, put yourself in my shoes. I am not saying your life is any easier than mine, but a working woman I am, supplying my children with foods I can not even afford! If we weren't so heavily taxed, maybe this wouldn't be an issue! The yelling and screaming must come to a stop, and in order to do so, let us come together to end this.

  2. Jacobin (K. Lavan) All this bloodshed is necessary if we want to grow and be a strong country. Your estate and the noble's estate were preventing us from having our say in the government. We had no say and change had to be done. We needed to have our say and the bloodshed was the only way to get our point of view across. Although there have been many lives lost, the majority needed their say and we have given them a say in governement

The Jacobins have become absolute savages. They are only worried about the beliefs of their own people. The opinions of others have had no relevance in their barbaric minds. God may have let this happen to our dear country but he will eventually prove to the Jacobins that the crimes that they are committing are wrong and non-civilized. I pray that god will eventually lead them to create the future government that france longs for.

This is where my intelligent theory brings itself about the situation. A great way that the government can make France a better place to be living in or around, is to adopt the theory of separation of powers. This will divide the government into branches that can't overpower the others. Power would be equal, close to everything would be fair, and things like this would never happen again. The Jacobins would be more sane, and the three estates would no longer have issues with each other. This is a goal that must be reached.
