Alec Gannon (Mary Wollstonecraft)

Liberty. Fraternity. Equality. Without these 3 things society will not function; in fact, humanity will not function. Therefore, what better slogan to live after rather than "Order, Security, and Efficiency." The motto of Napoleon does not demonstrate freedom and unity, but rather illustrates "efficiency" through absolute power. The slogan of "Liberty, Fraternity, and Equality," represents the Revolution for a government for the betterment of the people; a government that would bring this slogan a reality for the people. To accept the slogan of Napoleon would defeat the purpose of this revolution. His slogan had brought back the monarchy and tyranny that France had once endured, and these people shall not endure it again! His slogan will not bring justice to the people, but "Liberty, Fraternity, and Equality" will. This slogan represents the perpetual freedom that France shall be granted, therefore to prefer Napoleon's would make the revolution meaningless. Emphasize this slogan. Speak of this slogan. And live by this slogan; because this slogan will bring France back its freedom.

"This Revolution", I'm going to assume, was started to make France "better". To be better is to be organized, safe, productive, and happy. Let me tell you, that if I were to be in country that was at peace, was safe from invading forces and was not in debt and had a steady income, I would be pretty happy. "Liberty, Fraternity, and Equality" means nothing. It is merely a slur of words aimed to spark violence into the hearts of some and anger into the hearts of others. It is a combination of virtues that can never be accomplished and would only send a country in a tailspin if that country were to follow it (look one already has!)
