Working Women (K. Gammino)
It's the dreadful summer of 1792 and The French Revolution is in its second phase. The "Reign of Terror" has been nothing but terror. Innocent people are being held as prisoners. There are some 1,200 trapped prisoners consisting of young boys and working women like myself. Every day my life goes on and I fear for my safety, and most importantly my life. Mobs and brutal fights initiate on the streets. A once so peaceful city is now corrupting the eyes of our children. The news headlines are saying this is the most radical phase so far. On October 10th, 1792, things got worse and worse. A mob of Parisians aggressed the royal palace of Tuileries. The mob massacred all of the guards and the tore apart the place. Not even a month later, 1,200 prisoners were killed. Us working women have our own opinions on how to feel about this massacre but we keeps our mouthes shut. We should fight for our rights no doubt but, we should not have to use violence in order to do so. We still grieve from the lack of freedom and rights that we don't have. Maybe, someday, God will bless us with all that we need, hopefully when all the violence ends and innocent people stop being killed.

Clergymen (I. Iannotti): I do agree that this violence must stop, but the people of your class caused this whole thing and you must try to influence them to stop to better the country. It is the only way how. God will make this violence end someday, but it may be best to flee the country for now.
