Adam Smith (K. Lavan)
I certainly believe that Europe's Industrial Revolution had a positive impact on people. Numerous men and women spread ideas that increased the population and brought wealth to our countries. The new ideas that increased the wealth in our countries helped everyone. The rich and poor were all taken care of as long as my idea was followed. I was a prominent believer of laissez-faire which means "hands off." The laissez-faire is an approach that has no government involvement. It asserted that there would be a free market which allowed the exchange of goods to be available to everybody. The free market produced lower prices for goods. The lower prices on goods made them affordable to everyone. The economy would grow the which would support new ventures and investments. The Industrial Revolution helped bring new ideas, like the one I strongly believed in, spread throughout Europe and allow the countries to flourish. All social classes benefitted by the new wave of ideas during Europe's Industrial Revolution.

ReplyDeleteI could not agree with you more! The Industrial Revolution has positively impacted all of Europe's citizens. I agree with the laissez-fair approach, which states that the government must not interfere in the free operation of the economy. Due to the free market, goods are available to everyone because they are made more affordable. This means that both the rich and the poor can buy more goods. The poor might not be able to afford the best goods but at least they can buy some goods. I also agree that new ideas and inventions benefited all classes of people during the Industrial Revolution.

ReplyDeleteYou say the government will be fine yet you say no government is needed. How will the government possibly benefit from this if they have to say in any of it. WE are being questioned whether or not all the citizens will be benefitted so there is no way this is true! We could never truly be at peace because of the two types of people in the counties therefore not everyone can be positvely impacted!
Young Coal Miner (Alec Gannon) How can you possibly speak for all of us in saying that all will benefit from the revolution. The innocent children I have worked with under the hash conditions of mining; the children that have witness gruesome deaths; would you say they were benefited? The individuals that died; the hardworking father of two I saw die in an explosion last week; was he positively benefited? Of course not all people could possibly be positively affected. An upper-class man such as you does not qualify to speak for coal miners because you lack any knowledge of our experiences.
