Dwight Eisenhower (I. Iannotti)

I come to you today with a heavy heart, I have recieved word that Hitler has invaded Poland from every direction, and with the immense strength of the German army it won't take much to take control of Poland. I am frightened for not only countries in Europe but my own, and I am angry for the victims of Hitler's terror. I will not let my fear show because I will be strong for the U.S. and try to do everything in my power to save all countries that Hitler is after. First, I believe all trade with Germany must end, we cannot be doing them any favors or helping out their war efforts in any war. I do realize that the economy is in great turmoil but the monster that is HIitler must be stopped. I also feel that if necessary military involment of the U.S. must happen. It is a crime against human rights, to do the things Hitler is doing, but it is also a crime to witness it and not do anything. I believe that we must start out slow by cutting off change, but eventually we must do whatever it takes to save the victims of Hitler's wrath, even if that means violence.
